"Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its 5-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before...."
This superb Star Trek display consists of a great picture of Spock, Captain Kirk and Scotty together with the autographs of Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner and James Doohan. It has been professionally double matted using acid free materials to make it the perfect centre piece for any Star Trek collection.
Spock is arguably one of the 20th century's most memorable characters. Leonard Nimoy, the man who played the Vulcan, has signed this tremendous picture of the character on the bridge of the USS Enterprise. Born on Vulcan in Shikahr, SAS-A-SHAR, on March 26, 2230. His mother was Amanda Grayson (a human) and his father was Sarek, the Vulcan Ambassador. Whilst not from 2230 this is an early picture of Spock and as such is a particularly desirable piece of Trek memorabilia. Spock was the first Vulcan to enlist in the Federation Starfleet, and distinguished himself greatly as science officer aboard the original U.S.S. Enterprise. His logical Vulcan thought-patterns proved of tremendous value. Following the conclusion of Kirk's five-year mission, Spock retired from Starfleet, returning to Vulcan to pursue the Kohlinar discipline. Although he completed the training intended to purge all remaining emotion, Spock nonetheless failed to achieve kohlinar because his emotions, were stirred by the V'Ger entity in 2271. (Star Trek: The Motion Picture). Spock subsequently remained with Starfleet and was eventually promoted to Enterprise captain when that ship was assigned as a training vessel at Starfleet Academy.
James Tiberius Kirk, serial no. SC937-0176CEC, was arguably the most famous Starfleet captain in Federation history. He commanded both the USS Enterprise and the USS Enterprise-A. Kirk served with distinction iafter graduating from the Academy, rapidly rising up the ranks, until he was promoted to Captain in 2264 when he was given command of the USS Enterprise. At age 31, Kirk was the youngest officer to date to reach the rank of captain.
Montgomery Scott (referred to as Scotty by his shipmates), serial no. SE 19754 T, was the chief engineer of both the USS Enterprise and the USS Enterprise-A of over a period of nearly 30 years.
